Very nice use of colour and texture. The warmth of the sunset is very attractive, bathing the scene in a serene, peaceful state of warmth. This lovely glow combined with the smooth texture of the water creates an undeniably calming atmosphere.
The forms of the rocks immediately stand out with their high contrast compared to the surrounding scene, though that lovely soft perimeter where the rocks touch the water eases their form in with the surrounding landscape rather beautifully to retain the coherent serenity of the scene.
The closer beach implies that the audience is perhaps sitting on the shore, looking out into the sun - the gentle cloud formations, subtle reflections of orange and the wonderfully soft texture of the water make the view truly stunning.
The lack of any real high contrast except around the rocks and the distant land paired with the use of that warm colour sets a truly serene display.
